Thought my Graphics Card was fried. I certainly don't have the skills/know how to open up the computer and replace such things. Woke up the next morning and the only response I get from the computer is a half turn from all fans and monitor lights flicker on. Basically- what Do I do now? check over here
In such cases the videocard simply refuses to work. My guess 500W of bull ♥♥♥♥ that just when poof, have a smell around it may give you an idea of what let out the magic blue smoke.. I would go to a small mom and pop computer store before attempting to go to Best Buy or any repair shop associated with a large retail operation. Monitor is on 100% pc still running …. try this
I'm going to try tonight to go back and turn on/off the computer to listen to the noises it makes. You COULD get an identical refurb motherboard on eBay for the same price as a new, modern motherboard... and they know what they are doing. I was able to fix my Samsung monitor, but wasn't able to fix my dad's (after changed the capacitors still had issues waking up from sleep). But if it just stopped working after normal use I doubt it will do much good.

For actually testing the card, there's nothing like putting it through some real-world use. What is more likely is that the New Driver you have loaded is not working properly so I would remove it and reload the older driver.Col 0Votes Share Flag Collapse - If so, it's time for a replacement card.It's also worth checking for any physical problems.
