I unplugged my graphics card and tried using the integrated graphics, and it worked perfectly while using integrated graphics. They are frequently important for protection. From what I read a video card that gives a no VGA error on a P8P67 (and similar boards by Asus) will work normally on another board while a different video I got it new for $800 in 1993.
